Yesterday we had our October Assembly. We did this virtually again, in line with Covid-19 regulations.

Third Class lead the assembly with a prayer. Mrs Fleming reminded the children of the importance of hand-washing and social-distancing.

Senior Infants told Mrs Fleming some interesting facts they had learned during Space Week. First Class entertained us with a poem about the solar system. The children were told about upcoming events such as our in-school cross country for 3rd to 6th Classes, mass on Wednesday 21st and Trick or Treat for Temple Street next Friday 23rd.

We also saw pictures of our county champions in school. The whole school cheered for the under 12 County Champions and for another student who won a bronze medal in the County Cross-Country Championships recently. We finished off the assembly with a happy birthday to all the students with birthdays in October.
