We had our assembly for February on Friday morning to finish a very busy month in school.
Senior Infants opened assembly for us with a prayer.
We marked the birthdays for this month along with our Stars of the Yard. We also celebrated our Gaeilgeoirí na Míosa for this month. We hope this initiative will encourage kids to keep using Gaeilge informally during the school day. 1st Class recited a very funny poem about the “Big Bad Wolf” which drew a lot of laughter around the hall!
4th Class told us all about Roots of Empathy, which was really interesting to hear about all they are learning from their baby teacher!
Ms.Fleming told us all about some events which are upcoming in the school across the coming weeks like GAA training for the younger classes, volleyball competitions, soccer, Seachtain na Gaeilge, communion and confirmation along with much, much more!
We finished assembly with a whole school recital of Amhrán na bhFiann.
