We had great excitement this week in school with the news that the boys from Clerihan GAA Club won the County under 12 Hurling Final. The team is made up of boys in our current 5th and 6th classes, along with some past students who have moved on to secondary school. The boys were seen as even bigger heroes among their classmates when Mrs.Fleming announced that there would be no written homework for 5th & 6th Classes as a reward for their efforts!

They beat Portroe from North Tipperary in the County final on Saturday.

We had a surprise visit from the cup this week to both classrooms with Covid-19 protocols being followed.

There is also a fantastic article on this week’s Nationalist describing this fantastic success for our parish.
