Junior Infants are settling in very well. Our 22 boys and girls have been very busy learning everyones name, learning how to be a good friend & learning how to play games on the yard. We are also doing lots of work to develop our fine motor control-we even cut up cabbage leaves. Our favourite motor control activity is when we have a Play Doh disco! We have been working on  matching, learning rhymes, singing songs & we all love our puppet Zig who appears every day to teach us words, phrases, rhymes & songs as Gaeilge.

We are really enjoying having two breaks & enjoy playing on the yard. We were very lucky to visit the sensory garden & explore the beautiful space we have.  We have made hot air balloons, drawn beautiful self-portraits & have printed lovely Autumn leaves.  Before our first assembly, we got to spend some time on the balance board & also practiced our pencil roll on the inflatable gymnastics mat.

We have started our literacy & numeracy stations.  We are ready to have a great year.
